Well technically all you need is the PCIe x16 slot. Which your GTX 1050 will currently be in.
It's just some older chipsets can struggle running newer architecture.
So yes it is compatible.
Just have to make sure you have a good quality, appropriate power supply to handle the upgrade (not just enough wattage).
