Does having a better pair of a mouse and keyboard improve the quality of my gameplay?

Exactly as stated above.

I am looking to buy a new mouse and keyboard and need to know if quality effects my gameplay, if not it could significantly change my shopping list.

Extra Answers Needed:
I know macros are particularly useful for MOBAs, if someone could clarify if that is true, please do so. Also, do mice have an effect on gameplay in FPSs .

mice have no effect on frame rates at all gaming keyboards/mouses do help with extra buttons/keys to the standard ones the gaming mouses are often a lot faster in comparison to the normal ones hope this helps

This depends on your skill in the game and also what exactly you are looking for. You need to know what you like as far as keyboard and mouse feel/size/shape. If you are comfortable and happy with your equipment you will be more relaxed and that usually translates to better performance. I play a lot of pool, I switched to a different pool cue and won 3 tournaments in a row with it. Was it because of the equipment or a better mental state with having a new toy to play with? Both re-enforce the other.
