While reading a thread on AMD forum, I came across a user whose newly built PC based on Ryzen-G would not display any output. Someone suggested that Ryzen 2400G GPU forces HDMI 2 output whereas the monitor was supporting only HDMI 1.4

I have a TV with HDMI input where it says HDMI 1.3 in its specs, it was bought in 2012.

Is there anything like your monitor should have the same or higher HDMI version as that of output from your GPU to display output, assuming the cable I am using supports HDMI 2?
I am a novice in this area and have no clue.
Thanks.

Does it mean that the HDMI version at which GPU is outputting and the HDMI version supported by the monitor don't matter at all?
