Does home contents insurance cover custom built PCs?

And what kind of damage does it cover. For instance...

If the computer shorts
If the computer fries
If the computer is knocks over (accidently)
If the computer randomly stops working

I havent done any of these by the way 😉 I was just wondering. The. insurance I have does include "any accidental damage"

it will most likely not cover shorts, fries, random bugs, etc.

i highly doubt it will cover accidentally knocking it over but you need to check with your insurance. my guess is that accidental damage is if you ran into your house with a truck not if you knocked over your pc.

this is a question for your insurance agent.. not us as we cannot answer for you what their policy is.

As your agent each company has different policy's. I know mine does cover custom builds but that may not be true for all.
