Question Does HP Victus 16 have decent build quality ?

Hello there i want to buy this laptop:

-AMD Ryzen 7 6800H CPU
-Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti 4GB 75W GPU
-16GB(2x8gb) DDR5-4800MHz RAM
-512GB M.2 2280 Gen4 SSD
-16.1" 1920x1080 144Hz IPS 45 NTSC 250nit Screen
-70Wh Battery

Specs and pricing is good but i'm not sure about build quality of this laptop. Is it good?

Hey there,

Well the Victus line is the entry level gaming laptops. Spec wise, they are very decent. Build quality is just okay. Mostly black plastics, and the screen hinges are weak. The screen itself is also mediocre, but on the plus is 165hz? (Not that the GPU you will push many games to their max and hit 165hz, but for games like CSGO would be great.

For an extra 100-200 you could get an Omen laptop, which has much better build quality and cooling. I'd imagine the Victus well get quite hot, and while I can't find a review of that particular Victus, chances are it will be the same. With that said, AMD CPUs seem to run a lot cooler.
