Hey guys, I have newly bought Dell S2216H 1920x1080 monitor and when I connect it to my system is has started giving problems like:
When I start my computer it doesn't give any audio output(it is connetcted through HDMI) but when I restart my computer it starts giving audio output but another problem pops out. The monitor loses it clearity when I start a 1080p video it gives feel like I am watching to a 1024x768 video on 1080p screen and sometimes it shows some flickering on screen. And I am using HDMI cable that came with the monitor.
But when I give monitor input from VGA cable it works fine.
So I tested it with my friend's laptop with hdmi cable and it was working just fine.
So I figure there's problem with my computer every component of which is also newly bought. Following are my some pc specs:
Intel i5 6600k
G skills ripjaws 2400MHz 8gb ddr4 ram
Asus z170 pro gaming
CM v650 psu

I do not have any graphics card does this monitor need dedicated graphics card or it will work fine with intel graphics on processor?

Please help me out if there is need of any settings change or any other.
Thank you!

Usually it doesn't. The integrated GPU can easily support a 1080o display.

With your friends laptop, did you use the very same HDMI cable as at home?
Are your Intel drivers up to date?
Does the same thing happen when you watch a DVD or do other stuff that's not video based?

Yes I used the same hdmi cable and no problem occurs for non video stuffs and my friends laptop has amd graphics so I was wondering.
Also drivers of intel hd graphics are up to date version 20.19.15.4463

Sounds like a bad HDMI-port on the mainboard.
Is the screen set to 1920x1080 when connecting it to the computer? Sometimes this is messed up for some reason as well.
Can you check with DVI or DP as well or does the screen lack that connector? (VGA can't go to full HD)

Can a 32-bit version of operating system cause this problem cause I have Windows 10 32-bit for my old x86 based cpu and newer is x64

then may be I will have to contact asus for customer support.
thanks though I appreciate your help!
