Im building my first gaming pc. It is a budget. I will be gaming at 1080p @ 60hz.
I have decided RX 580 8GB as it is available in good prices in my country.
I want to ask if a i7 3770 bottleneck or should I go with i7 4770?
The price difference is about 32$ (coverted to usd) in my country.
Moreover, which AMD cpu can you suggest me if I decide to go with AMD.
Also, is 8 gb ram (4x2) ram enough or do I need more like 12 gb (4x3)?
Will be playing games like fortnite, gta v, pubg and other AAA titles at high - ultra depending on game. 1080p 60hz

Solution
The only AMD CPU's I would recommend are ryzen, all of which require DDR4 memory. The 3770 or 4770 will eat up any AMD FX CPU for example.

How much does 32 dollars mean to you? The 3770 and 4770 do not have much of a performance gap between them, either will achieve 1080p 60fps with a RX580 in pretty much anything. I would personally spend an extra $32 for the 4770, but if the equivalent of 32 dollars goes a long way in your country it's probably not worth it.

I think the i7 3770 is a great choice for a couple of reasons, it comes in a 1155 motherboard package. So more options at least with CPU choices, You could also use an i7 2600 on that board. Where as the i7 4770 on socket 1150 just has a small family of CPU's that work on there. The speed difference is almost not there.

Out of the three games you listed GTA-V, is the one we play and one of the machines we have it on is.

i7 2600
16 Gb memory
Old Dell 990 motherboard
Windows 10 1909
1tb mechanical drive.
ATI 580 Red Devil 8 Gb

No stutter, no freezing, no BSOD.

But there's some nice new AMD candy out there and if your budget lets you swing it you could get newer and faster gear. YMMV Good luck
