I got a new monitor and I use displayport for video and I noticed it can do audio, the monitor came with a cable to do audio through the monitor for dvi but if i use the cable for audio will it sound better than through displayport? I want the sound to be the best it can be so if it affects it even slightly I would prefer to use the best one.

Technically DP and HDMI sound "best", but that is only because they are the only format that supports sound. DVI and VGA require passthroughs to get audio.
The quality mostly depends on the speakers, monitor speakers arent great in the first place.
