It will replace i3 550 and i am gonna use it for gaming (msi Gtx 750 2gb oc)

EDIT: The reason I ask is, the G3258 is 3 generations and 4 years old, and has been discontinued. There are newer, better CPUs and boards out now if you don't already own the board.

Well tbh i dont have the intel g3258 nor the motherboard but i just found a deal both for a good price so i think i will go for it thanks for the help tho !

as long as it has the same socket type as your old I3 and is supported by your mobo then it will work

How good is the deal? There are $45 socket 1151 motherboards available that should support the $65 Pentium G4560, which may be close to twice as fast at times.
