Running it daily would be a waste of your time, really. Why would you want to unless you are having a problem?
It shouldn't hurt anything and minor fixes are done on the fly by SFC.
As an aside I am still trying to sort my problem and when running SFC it found 4 corrupted/damaged files and couldn't fix them as the samme files were also damaged at the source. I am not sure where the source is however? Is it the hidden system partition or is it online at windows update. Don't know.
Using the manual and long winded process via elevated command and SFC remove and repair functions, I replaced the files with new ones I got of a recently purchased new laptop. Now all is well.
