Does it matter what Bluetooth dongle you use

Bluetooth dongle quality
So I am trying to find if there is any difference between a $10 ugreen USB is vs a $40 dongle vs a cheap $3 Chinese branded dongle. Any difference in connections. Keep in mind they are all 4.0? Any help would be appreciated

I would think that the only possible way they could differ would be in reception range. Apart from that, Bluetooth is a set standard (like ethernet) so there isn't much of a difference in performance I wouldn't think. I've used cheap USB bluetooth dongles before with no issue. Is there a particular application you have in mind?

It does matter for certain things. I know when I was using my dual shock 3 controllers on my PC, the Asus dongle I had was compatible, but the cheap Best Buy one I had would not pair.

I've noticed this with the integrated Bluetooth in some laptops for DS4 Windows as well.

I would read user reviews on Amazon or wherever you plan to order from to make sure there are no nasty surprises.
