Should I store my OS in a separate storage drive instead of having my personal data together in the same drive? Will there be a change in performance? What if the drive was Solid State?

Solution
If the drive is solid state then your boot up and shut down will be much faster, as long as default core OS apps and programs loading much faster.
There would be no real issue with storing data on a seperate drive.
However there is a significant difference between storing your OS on an SSD than on a HDD.
