Does it matter which RAM slots I use?

- Gigabyte Z87MX D3H
- Corsair Vengeance 8GB (4GB x 2)
- CM Hyper 212x

The CM Hyper 212x will probably block slots 1&3 (closer to the CUP).

So I was thinking whether its okay to use the 2&4.

Yep I found their online manual, using 2 modules are optimized with 1&3 which are the slots furtherest away from the CPU.

This is awesome, I'll be able to instal the 212x without worrying that it'll block the 1 RAM slot.
