I have a i5 4670k (3.4Ghz) Why does my CPU cores run @ 3.6 Ghz without me overclocking it..? Might it be possible that the MSI Z87 Mpower mobo does it automaticly..? Should I worrie instability issues..?

Solution
Chink411, Intel incorporates a thing called Intel Turbo Boost and Intel Speed Step which automatically "overclocks" your CPU to run a little faster only when you need the extra power. At idle the 4670K should run at 3.4GHz stock but will automatically overclock itself to up to 3.8GHz when you need the extra power (Such as when you play games or render videos). You do not need to worry about any instability or heat issues as Intel's Cooler for that CPU is rated to handle those speeds just fine. It is totally normal for your CPU to "overclock" itself a bit, you don't have anything to worry about.

Thanks for the clear help!
I was worried something wrong with it.. By the way,I am using a Corsair H90.. Idle it gets around 30 degree celcius and while gaming all night max 49 degree celcius.. The H90 uses only 25% max..

Thanks for the info!
