ONE EXAMPLE IS THE RETARDED MINIDISPLAY PORT. ALL THE CABLES ARE WHITE AND FLIMSY. I CAN NOT GET A CLEAR ANSWER IF THEY WILL DELIVER AUDIO FROM A PC / NON MACBOOK PRODUCT. THAT ANSWER DOES NOT EXIST ON THE INTERNET. WILL YOU BE THE FIRST TO ANSWER?
I must of read 500 threads, there is no answer relating to my situation.
I don't have a dumb macbook or anything dumb apple.
I just got a 7750 for my dumb low profile computer (YEAH I KNOW I HAVE NO CHOICE) and it has a DVI port and a really DUMB MiniDisplay port. No HDMI.
I want to be able to broadcast my computer desktop to my TV. My dumb google chromecast is just dumb, it's laggy, it stops broadcasting, it's jsut dumb.
So I am trying to see if I can get an adapter which turns the dumb display port into a HDMI and then connect the HDMI to the TV.
Some people say yes, some people say no, some people say mac this, display that, setting that,
Can I get audio at all with my configuration/ i cant use my audio port because I need it for my dumb computer speakers and I am not looking to have to change cables around on my dumb TV set up just to get it to work.
