Now that there are 1070 and 1080 does buying 1060 6GB worth? BTW: There's a huge cost difference between 1060/70/80.

If it's an huge upgrade from actual GPU and the price is correct then yes.

If you are already on GTX970 or similar or higher, going to GTX1060 does not worth it at all.
If you are already on GTX980Ti or similar or higher, GTX1060 is a downgrade.
