Does JAVA use up memory in....

Does java(streaming media aplet) use up memory in dram, memory in video(sgram), or is it dependent on system memory at all?

<b>EVERY</b> program uses memory. The question is how much. And... I do not think any application would directly use the graphic subsystem RAM to work...
