I have a Nexstgo NS14N1 laptop here. May I know the M.2 slot interface on laptop is SATA or Nvme ?

If I buy a M.2 Mvme drive, would it backward compatible with M.2 SATA 6Gbps?

What's the Max speed this laptop can support?
-PCI-E 2.0 x2
-PCI-E 2.0 x4
-PCI-E 3.0 x2
-PCI-E 3.0 x4

Solution
I agree with ja32267 and will add some information.

The motherboard's part number could be of help, I tried looking for it and all I got was a ton of Taiwanese seller sites - no manufacturer/OEM.

In the meantime, you can also check BIOS options. This might help because if the slot supports either then there's the possibility that you would have to manually choose. (Note that not all computers do have that option)

If indeed your laptop supports NVME then the speed will be dependent on motherboard and drive spec. There are NVME drives that will only operate at PCIe x2 - this is easily seen on their build: they have both M and B notches.

Hope this helps.
