[SOLVED] Does M.2 SSD really eats much of power

I'm looking to install one more NVM M.2 SSD, which is Samsung 980 Pro 1TB, into the stock m.2 slot. I was not used to having M.2 SSD before but now I worried about the power consumption.

Given that 850W is recommended PSU by GIGABYTE, I currently have with the Be Quiet! Straight Power 11 850W. However, I do not understand about the calculation by GPU manufacturer.
If I apply an upgrade, will the 850W be able to support the following PC specification?

CPU: RYZEN 9 5900X
CPU Cooler: CORSAIR H150I E-LITE CAPELLIX
Motherboard: ASUS STRIX X570-E GAMING
Memory: Crucial Ballstix (4 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600
Storage: Samsung 850 Pro SATA Solid State Drive
Storage: Samsung 980 Pro NVM Solid State Drive
Video Card: GIGABYTE AORUS XTREME 3080Ti
Case: CORSAIR 5000D
Power Supply: BE QUIET! STRAIGHT POWER 11 850W
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Fan:
3 x ML120 PRO 2400RPM
3 x STOCK ML120 RGB 2400RPM FROM AIO

Note that, in the future, one more identical M.2 drive might be installed if I go for RAID system.

I' ve checked different PSU calculators but the results are fluctuating. So advice from expert is appreciated.

More important is how to connect the PSU to the GPU. The GPU has 3x 8 pin that has to be connected with 3 seperat PCI-e cables to 3 seperate 12v rails on the PSU.
The PSU comes with 4 x PCIe cables and is a 4 x 12v rail PSU. I presume each PCIe cable is on its own rail, although I'm sure it would work just as well if it were a single rail 850W PSU.

M2 SSDs are about 7W maximum. Reviews show around 6W max.

Nope. The PSU comes with 3 cables with in total 4 connectors. One daisy chained cable and 2 cables with a single connector. The PCI-e cables can be conected to rail 12v3 and 12v4. 12v3 is wired to PCI-e1 and 2, 12v4 is wired to PCI-e2 and 3.
Rail 12v1 is for sata/molex/24 pin ATX and 12v2 is for CPU.

Yes, one pair of connectors is on a daisy-chain. But, It still has 4 x 6+2 pin connectors and should work for the OP, no?

Hello!

You don’t need to worry about that.
NVMe drives won’t make any significant difference in your system regarding power consumption.
(Even if you’ll add 3 M.2 NVMe drives in RAID_0).
