Does Mini-Display port support 144hz?

TL;DR: Does a Mini-Displayport to Display-port cable give me the same 144hz performance.

Hello, I recently built a new gaming PC and I'm loving it 😍 , and I'm now considering buying a 144hz monitor to go with it. My question though is that my GPU only has Mini-Displayport and not full sized. I know that Full Sized Display-Port will support 144hz, but will a Mini-DP to DP cable give me that same performance?

(P.S. I know that for 144hz monitors to be used effectively I should always run at 144fps, I don't need that spiel.)

Mini displayports are the same as the full sized ones in support. I'm uncertain if all converters support it or not, but you should find a solution some how. They make normal mini to full sized cables.

Thanks, good to know. I was pretty sure it would work, but hey, it doesn't hurt to check.
