Does more sharpness mean better picture?

I have my monitor set to sharpness 10 and it looks weird and it goes from 0-10 and i have it on 10. I may be wrong but doesn't it mean better picture quality if the sharpness is high or no? I am using an LG 1080p 24 inch IPS monitor.

Adjust the sharpness until the picture is to your liking. Higher sharpness may not be always better.
