I was planning a Ryzen build and have a big doubt: I read somewhere that MSI B350m Pro VDH does not support Ryzen 3 1200 without BIOS update. Is it true? Also, if it supports, can it overclock it to like 3.8 or 3.9 GHz? 15 year old here so a little help...:ange:

Solution
Supports it fine although its always a good idea to update the bios soon as possible after booting.

See no reason why you wouldn't be able to o
Push a decent overclock with that board either.

I'd take the asrock b350m pro 4 though if its available at a similar price though.

I have the ASUS Prime B350m-A/CSM motherboard, the cheapest B350m Chipset MOBO of them all. Normally, you would get an automatic bios update when you first setup your computer. (During windows start-up). I got one automatically.

Also, for OCing, I would recommend getting an after market cooler like a 212 EVO with AM4 brackets. I have a RYZEN 5 1600 OC'd at 3.7GHz with 1.30V with the stock cooler. Going 3.8GHz will require an aftermarket cooler. (Almost EVERY ryzen chip can reach 3.7GHz comfortably).
