Does MSI B85-G43 Gaming require bios update to run i5 4590?

i want an h97 but cant find a good h97 with good design i read that h97 is better but i wont be using all its features so i think i should be getting a b85 what do you think guys

oh i see so i cant use it if i only have i5 4590 or i can update it manually ? or do i need to use other cpu to update this

Haswell Refresh is compatible. I have never actually tried to update a BIOS in such situation so I'm not sure how this is done.

I'm sure you just install the BIOS update on an empty USB stick and then make it your primary boot drive and it should install when you start your PC.

So you can use the i5-4590 with the B85 motherboard and use a USB stick with the working BIOS update. Quite easy.
