[SOLVED] Does MSI's A320 support zen 2 CPUs?

Pretty stupid question but i found a prebuilt with a ryzen 3 3100 with an A320M- A PRO and when i checked MSI compatibility for the motherboard zen 2 cpus were there.
Can it really support Zen 2 CPUs?

A Ryzen + (aka 2000 Series CPU) is the most that your MB can run without issue.

Apparently running a Ryzen 3000 CPU on that MB results in temperatures that exceed what the MB can endure for any length of time.

Thanks! i would know VRM and power delivery would be a problem i'm just shocked that A320s would support Zen 2.

They do "technically" support Ryzen 3000 CPU's but sadly most A320 boards can't really handle them well enough to actually run them.

It can run 65 watts tdp parts no issue. But there is no overclocking including pbo and rightfully so.

I should also note, as others have, that the vrms do get hot. This is to be expected as they lack power phases and usually heat sinks. Use the default included fan. Air firing downward will help them run cooler.
