Question does my cpu memory have to be the same speed as my ram

so i have a i5 9400F that has ddr4 2600 memory so will it still be able to take advantage of ddr4 3200 or will it be bottle necked

see with your cpu it says its memory time is ddr4 whereas mine says ddr4 2666 so are you sure it will work with ddr4 3200 provided that the motherboard allows it

okie dokie and two more questions and then I'll leave you be, does the chipset on the motherboard relate to the cpu, and what is bios.
and i cant find the out what the chipset is on my cpu

BIOS (Basic Input Output System), allows you to configure/overclock your CPU (if allowed, in your case no as that CPU is locked), adjust memory speeds, booting options, identify hardware and other configuration options.

As for your first question I'm not really sure what you mean. The 9400F is supported natively on the Z390 motherboard. Once the BIOS is updated that CPU is supported on the H310/B360/H370 & Z370 motherboards.
