Does my graphics card serve any purpose when not connected to monitor?

I recently bought a new PC but my monitor only has VGA ports, While my r9 270x doesn't have VGA ports.
Now im waiting untill i get a new monitor, the question is: does my graphics card serve any purpose while not connected to a monitor or anything? should i remove it untill i get a monitor?, Because im getting an okay-ish fps in games with the intel built in graphics card

No, if it's not connected to a monitor, it's doing nothing but taking up space and confusing the BIOS. Take it out until you are able to connect it to a display.

Why not use a DVI to VGA converter until you can get a new monitor?

Most (possibly even all?) 270Xs should have a DVI-I port, which allows you to use a simple, super cheap adapter to get VGA.

Just check with your product manual for the 270X which of your DVI ports is DVI-I (as opposed to DVI-D, which you can't use that adapter on), and you're good to go.

Oh sorry i thought he meant if an adapter came with it, Yes my graphics card got DVI-I and DVI-D both of them
