Does my graphics card support 1440p?

I have an AMD Radeon R5 235 on my old desktop (16GB Ram). Would like to upgrade to a 34" ultra-wide (3440x1440) monitor than I can use with both my desktop and my Alienware R4.

Will my current desktop support 1440p?

p.s. my desktop will not be used for gaming, only for basic office work and movies etc.

No, your current GPU would most likely not handle 2k gaming very well.

It might be able to do very light tasks like you are saying at 1440p but anything which demands more than a little graphical performance would suffer
