Hello everyone, first time posting here.

I was thinking about upgrading my old laptop with an SSD but I have a couple of questions about it and can't really seem to find answers to.
The laptop in question is an HP power 15-cb001la (https://support.hp.com/us-en/produc...52496?jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_s-001_title_r0001) and the drive I had my eyes on was this one from HP:
https://www.newegg.com/hp-ex920-512gb/p/20-326-779

The manual only lists 3 options for SSDs and those are:

256GB PCIe NVMe Gen 3.0 x4 TLC (Three Layer Cell) 3D-NAND M.2 NGFF (2280) Zturbo Solid State Drive - 847109-020
128GB PCIe NVMe Gen 3.0 x4 TLC (Three Layer Cell) 3D-NAND M.2 NGFF (2280) Zturbo Solid State Drive - 912322-007
HP 128GB TLC (Three Layer Cell) SATA 6Gbps M.2 2280 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) - 827560-052

Reading trough the forums (spanish native speaker) I found some old thread that said that the laptop only supported up to 256GB drives but I dont understand why would that be the case. Long story short, does my laptop only supports up to a 256gGB SSD or I'm just being an idiot?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the broken english.
