Does my laptop support 144HZ over Thunderbolt?

I recently bought a 144hz full hd monitor, but unfortunately I didn’t see that it only supports 144hz via Displayport and DVI-DL. I have a laptop that has HDMI 2.0 and a Thunderbolt (dell g5 15 5587 (https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/gaming-laptops-desktops/dell-g5-15-gaming/spd/g-series-15-5587-laptop)). Will I be able to buy an adapter from type-c to displayport to get my cherished 144hz?
