Yea it will fit mate, look at the socket type an compare the two that's how you tell just so you can tell in the future.

Your mobo doesn't support QX9650 but it supports Q9650.
Also you will need to update BIOS to version 26.11

On MSI site it doesn't show CPU as supported for his mobo.

It supports Core 2 Quad but not Core 2 Extreme since it cant handle 130W TDP CPU.

Yea I know but you can under volt the CPU if you really wanted to, I wouldn't advise it though.

Then there is no point getting that CPU since it will stress already old mobo and it can cause more problems than gain in performance.

Yea true that, it is more hassle and you would be better getting the non extreme or just upgrading the motherboard. But if you really wanted that CPU and that motherboard you can under volt the CPU but I highly advise against it.
But to round it all up yes that CPU will fit your motherboard.
