so I have the ASUS A68HM-PLUS and its worked perfectly for me so far but I was wondering whether it supports high def audio since I have really good headphones that I think could really benefit from it, so does my motherboard support it?
Yes, the Realtek ALC887-VD audio chip has HD audio and according to Realtek it has "real high fidelity of sound quality...with sampling rate of up to 192kHz"
Which headphones do you have?
So you have the motherboard and the headphones...how does it sound?

Thanks, yea I have the Corsair HS50's which benefit hugely from 192kHz and sound much better than other studio grade headphones Ive tried, 192kHz sounds great for gaming and music, just wished Id realised it earlier considering ive had my PC for a year and a couple of months!
