Does my motherboard support SLI?

Hello, I have a quick question about my PC setup. The plan was to make a SLI setup but I'm not very sure if that's even possible with my motherboard.

Motherboard: MSI B85-G43
GPU: 2 x MSI GTX970 Gaming 4G

I can't seem to find it out myself, thanks in advance!

Ok I see, to be honest I don't think getting a new motherboard or whatever is worth it then. I mean with these specs:

i7-4770 (socket 1150)
DDR3 memory
MSI B85-G43 motherboard
2 x MSI GTX970 Gaming 4G

it's basicly an incompatible mess which can't be solved. I wanted a cheaper upgrade but lesson learned (bought 2nd 970 today). Have to do more research next time. Might be better just save up some money to buy a new setup.

A bit of bad news for me, wanted to cheer me up with this upgrade but it didn't quite do the trick.
Thank you guys for the suggestions and info though. Never been helped as quick as today on a forum.

Do you run your system off an SSD? if not that should be your first upgrade, you will notice a massive difference.

Secondly you are currently running on DDR3 RAM, however to upgrade that you will need a new motherboard. But you wont get a DDR4 motherboard for your current CPU so that would mean you'd need to change the RAM, CPU and motherboard at the same time.

Yeah I have a SSD, 256 gb on which I have Windows running. Also some programs and games I use. My 1TB HDD is just storage for photo's and documents.

Might consider saving for a new pc, although this isn't world's worst setup or anything.

Whatever you can buy, you can sell.
SLI gives wonderful synthetic fps benchmarks, but your gameplay will be better with a good single card.
sli is prone to stuttering and screen tearing.
An increasing number of games do not support dual gpu.
You may not have the requisite 700w to support two GTX970 cards.
All this is moot since your motherboard does not support sli.

Sell both cards and look for a nice upgrade like a GTX1080.

I have a Bequiet 700W, that was something I did looked up. Thing is I haven't played many games last months and really want to get back to it since things are going better then they were. So I got the 2nd 970 and SLI Bridge for just a bit over 100 euro thinking it would give my PC a nice boost.

Looking forward to finally playing Witcher 3, Battlefield V and many more. I really like fancy graphics and smooth gameplay.

This is the setup btw:

Intel i7-4770
24 GB DDR3 (2x8, 2x4)
MSI GTX 970 4G - just one though 😉
B85-G43
Bequiet 700W
Cooler Master watercooler
Some extra fans with blue leds (mainly corsair)
1TB HDD
256 SSD

I think that's all really. I have no clue what a good solution would be. I mean I just want to play games on mid-high graphic settings and it has to be doable for the next couple of years.

It's not that I want the best setup for 4K / VR or anything. Just something to enjoy games atm and some years to come.
