Does my pc case play a big role in my first build?

Hi, I'm going to start my build soon, and was wondering if the case really matters. I do currently have an old CiT Goblin case however it's from a pre built that died on me a few months ago. I don't really want to spend a lot of money on a case and see many going for £40 or more. Any help appreciated and my build to be is as follows

I5 7500
8gb Ballistix ram
B250M-D3H motherboard
Corsair 550w psu
Gigabyte 1060 6gb GPU

Solution
change the psu to like 300/350w to save a bit of money, except if you will use those power headroom for upgrade. also do some research if your mobo support xmp or not if you use high speed ram above 2133 mhz, because some mobo doesnt support xmp which makes high speed ram useless because it will run at default ddr4 2133 mhz speed. pc case does matter sometimes, like the airflow and how big the space it has for your parts

Solution
Maybe, But probably not if it is a Prebuilt factory case. Many of these case use non-standard parts.
1) Not just about cooling and size.
- What are the front panel connection to the MB, will the fit the "NEW" MB connectors. What is your USB connectors on the front panel (ie does it have USB 3). Most New MBs provide USB 3 at both the Back and the front panel.
- What about the Back plane, will it fit. May be able to look at a picture of the MB's back plane and compare to your Back plane on the Old case. Must be able to remove old Back plane and put new back plane in.
- MB, are the Stand-offs in the same place as the standoff on the Old case?
That's 3 things off the top of my head.

That said you can wait tell you get your New parts and see if they fit - WORST case, Have to wait a few days to get your "NEW" case. BEST Case, Yea it all fits and You save the 40!

Added: PS I'd go with a quality 450 W PSU, Remember it's NOT the total Watts, it's how much is the +12V rail.

Thanks for your reply, I have already bought my psu, mobo and ram and I am currently waiting on my Cpu to arrive. I checked and my mobo does support XMP.
I'm just unsure whether i should buy a difffernet case or not as the one I currently have is very cheap. Thanks for your reply :)
