Does my PC suck?

I'm interested in playing the triple A games coming out soon and so far the Battlefield 5 beta gets me maybe 40-50 fps when not much is happening (20 and below when lots of things are happening) and on the lowest settings. Can someone tell me if I have a bottleneck or if my PC just needs to be replaced? Thank you! I apologize for any apparent ignorance.

Storage for games and OS: Samsung 860 EVO 500 GB SSD
GPU: Radeon (TM) RX 470 Graphics
CPU: AMD FX-8370 Eight-Core Processor
RAM: 16 Gigabytes

If you're not happy with your system's performance, there is no single upgrade. You could upgrade the graphics but you won't get the full potential out of it until you upgrade the rest of your system as well. If you have the funds available for a GTX1080, forgo that and use it for a core system (CPU/Motherboard/RAM) upgrade.

Personally, I'd just turn down the settings until I get a frame rate I'd be happy with.

Yes I understand, but I still don't get a consistent 60 fps on all games already. I'd like to be able to compensate with power in some cases when the developer doesn't optimize their game.

I apologize for continuing, but I need some advice. I don't really have the money to totally replace my PC, so I occasionally replace a part. Most recently (about a year ago maybe) I replaced the motherboard and the CPU as well as doubled the RAM. The oldest part there is at the moment is the GPU. I'm thinking I need to replace that next with something like this.

MSI GeForce GTX 1080

However, I've been told that the CPU doesn't have very good single threaded performance and that I should probably switch to an Intel CPU. Which should I prioritize first? (also, if you don't recommend that GPU, maybe suggest something else if you feel like it.) Thanks!
