I recently bought a few parts to upgrade my PC and I'm not sure if my old PSU is gonna be enough.

First, what are the possible problems of powering my machine without the proper PSU?

Second, i have a LC6600GP2 and there aren't many reviews of it, so i have no idea if I'm good or not.

this is my PC:
z97 pro gamer
i7-4790
hyper 212 evo cooler
2x4gb RAM
gtx 970
1 ssd
2 hdd
Corsair 450D case ( comes with 3 fans)
2 1080 monitors

LC6600gp2 PSU

thanks in advance

It meets the requirements for your system but not much is known about the quality. It's made by a Chinese company called 'Great Wall'. I recommend a higher quality unit from a well known manufacturer like EVGA, XFX, Antec or Seasonic to power and protect your investment in high quality gaming components.

o boy. i didn't take into account having to buy a PSU, and i'm a little low on cash atm...
What signs should i be looking for, to know it's past time to buy the PSU? ( i'll start saving asap to swap it as soons as possible)

@DonketOatie i have no intention's of OC either because i wouldn't know what to do. I do however intend on SLIing my 970.

Whats the Watt range i should look for in my new PSU ( knowing the system will remain the same but i'm probably gonna SLI)
thank you everyone for the help so far!

Any recommendation?
possibly on the reliable yet cheap side? (low on cash after buying my upgrades)

tyvm!

PS: also any recommendation for a pc without SLI?

I live in Portugal. I would probably be buying from amazon.es since it's the only one i know that ships to Portugal, is reliable, and has fair prices (usually 20% lower than shops in my country). i am not picky about where i buy it from as long as there's no unnecessary charges and it's a reliable source.

budget would be 50-150. i can maybe get it to 200 if really necessary.

you've been incredibly helpful. ty!

i also found a cooler master v750 (which is in the tier 1 of the list)
But the XFS TS750 is very enticing, because of the price!
Is there any advantage of picking some of the ones listed here over the others? or are all of them a solid option?
i also see some are bronze ratings other gold, but i don't know what that entails ...

If it is used for gaming, the difference between Bronze and Gold may be only a small light-bulb. A high-performance PSU is an essential foundation of a gaming system, ESPECIALLY for an SLI system.

You need at least 750W for SLI GTX970s. SR-71 has suggested two good XFX units.

I'm sorry, but I didn't understand the light-bulb analogy. Are you saying that for a gaming PC getting bronze or gold rating is the same? As long as i get a solid PSU (by using the tier list?)

the XFX are very enticing because they're cheaper. but i dunno if i should just spend 50€ more and get maybe the one @bignastyid linked

The difference in power saving between a 750W Bronze and a 750W Gold PSU is the energy used by a light bulb.

The EVGA's suggested by bignastyid are a little higher performance then the ones suggested by SR-71. I use both XFX and EVGA PSUs in systems I have built. I would use the XFX 750 or 850 if I saved 50 Euros, probably not if I saved only 10 Euros.

The XFX TS PSUs are very well made.
