Does my R9 280X work with this PSU?

The SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100363VX-3L Radeon R9 280X 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support TRI-X WITH BOOST (UEFI) Video Card lists a PSU requirement of 750 watts. I was curious if that is actually true? If so, could you recommend me some power supplies?

I don't have one yet, but do you think the CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready will suffice?

yea, it will work, but the Corsair CX series is poor quality i wouldn't go with that unit. the TDP (the actual power the card uses) is only 250 watts so even with the rest of your system you really only need a 550 or 600 watt to be safe.

Yup it has 2x6+2 pin so they would work as 6 pin or 8 pin connectors.
