does netgear N300 router connect to Wireless-AC

I have a Netgear N300 Wireless Router, and am considering a Lenovo laptop with wireless AC. Am I OK?

You will only achieve the speed of the N300 router on your Ac laptop. You can only achieve the speed of the weakest link in your network.
