[SOLVED] Does nowadays display need Screen Saver?

Hi,
I understand why those old-time CRT display need screen saver in order to protect the screen.
Does nowadays LCD/LED/LGD/... displays need screen saver to protect the screen?

LED TVs etc are subject to burn in just like CRTs...but they much less susceptible than CRTs.

I think that if you intend on having the screen display the same thing for a long period of time I would use a screen saver.

If you're just going to use it like a normal PC than no.

When you say Long Period of time, is it 1-10 hours? 10-24 hours? several days? months?

Much longer than 10 hours....

I leave my WIndows desktop up for 10 hours and I don't see any burn in.

I'm thinking several days to months.
