Hey guys! My cousin has a Dell Optiplex 7050 SFF and he can't fit larger graphic cards in his casing. He was wondering that if it is possible if he purchases Optiplex 7050 Tower casing, that the motherboard of SFF (ONW6HS) casing will fit in the Tower casing perfectly? And also if the PSU of SFF casing will fit in the Tower casing? Thanks!

I will be honest with you that series of Dells are a pain to do anything more than add memory and or a new SSD. That said I don't think even getting the bigger Dell case will work without frustration ending a transplant. Even the bigger Dell has it's factory issues AKA non standard layout.

May I suggest some salvage getting him working with what he has would be getting an open case. You side step every limitation of will it fit to being able to control the layout.

One thing no matter what you guys end up doing is keep all the original Dell wiring to motherboard in tact. Or Dell will complain or not boot if it see issues not being able to sense like front panel USB's or the headphone front panel port.

One other question the GPU he wants to use can the small form factor power supply feed it. Have you researched that potential road block.

Bro finding an open case in my country would be so difficult and even ordering something from abroad would cost so much. I searched everywhere on Google but haven't found a proper answer yet that would tell me to go for the Tower casing of the same model (Optiplex 7050) or not? Thanks man for your advice. I appreciate it!
