I have overvolted my graphics card and overvolted it to keep it stable. I want to know whether it will decrease my graphics card's life even with the max temperature never reaching more than 80C? It's a Zotac GTX 560 ti AMP

Solution
Bottom line is that overvolting your computer components whether it be the CPU or GPU or RAM will decrease it's life span. However, these computer components are designed to last for a very long time~10 years and by that time it would have become obsolete. As long as you're not planning to use your PC until 2024, overclocking or overvolting shouldn't be too much of a worry as long as you have adequate cooling.
There is no guarantee that it will decrease it's lifespan but, YES it can cause damage even without heating due to the components taking in more then what they we're designed to safely take in.

A gpu core is alot more sensitive to overvolting then that of a cpu. I urge you take extreme care and do research. It is possible to instantly kill the core of a gpu if overvolted to much. If a gpu stress test such as furmark does not go over 80C or artifcate then I would not worry about stability as it would seem like a good overclock.

The chances of a successful oc with voltage increase decreasing your gpu life is very slim.
