Does processor and ram effect graphic card

Hi friends
I have an Hp pavillion ab035ax laptop which has Amd A8 7410 processor and 8gb ram my friend has 5 th gen i7 processor with 16 gb of ram our graphic cards are same but his laptop's gaming performance is significantly better than mine so what i wantex to ask is that does ram amd processor effect gaming this much or my graphics have some problem

There is a huge speed difference between those processors so yes there will be a large effect given that. Also of note is the design of a given laptop (which shouldn't have as much of an effect here) a laptop designed to better cool the CPU/GPU will get better performance and also some laptop CPU's and GPU's are allowed to run at different TDP's and specs (memory etc) allowing for the same chips to have sometimes radically different performance. These decisions are at the OEM's discretion and are unfortunately mostly unknown to us unless the laptop is reviewed and the reviewer notes these issues..
