Your video card is good as is, and yes you can run it smoothly, you can run it smoothly on high settings if you wanted to. ArmA is a demanding game, if you can run it good, which you can, you'll be able to play a lot of other games. Since your preset video card is a damn good card, you can choose a different one if you like, i recommend just sticking with the current one unless you wanna upgrade, it's...
Yeah, RAM affects the performance of certain games, since DayZ runs on ArmA 2, make sure your RAM requirements meet the requirements for ArmA 2. Are you having a specific issue with DayZ?

You shouldn't have to worry, the RAM and Graphics Card meet the ArmA 2 specs. I am sure you could play ArmA 3 on that thing. You have nothing to worry about, just set your settings to however you prefer them in game, you can run the game on good settings. But idk about Windows 8.1, I wouldn't worry, im sure it'll play. long story short, You CAN play ArmA 2 and DayZ on that PC, happy gaming.

So I would nt be able to run it smoothly?
Also, would a GTX 650 ti boost 2 GB be better? If not, what do you recommend?

It will also last a good while, so you won't have to upgrade for a while, so enjoy your PC and don't worry about upgrades, it's a nice rig.

The GTX 650 is more of a 720p video card. It will struggle with most games @ 1080p. You will have to turn the settings down a lot at that res. The GTX 650ti boost is a lot better, and will handle 1080p much better.

If I were you, I would get a lesser cpu, and a stronger video card. Especially at that price.

Thank you so much, you just answered all of my questions :)

I really just want DayZ to have at least 30+ frame rate and fairly good graphics (normal or higher?).
Also, is the 650 ti boost 2 gb newer/more powerful?

Thought it would be ok to post my question here rather than make a new thread:

What would be the ideal additions for me to invest in to increase FPS on my Pavilion dv7-4177nr Entertainment Notebook. I am a DayZ Standalone player and currently getting 11 fps on the lowest quality in-game settings. My computer is also optimized for best performance rather than quality.
