[SOLVED] Does ram speed matter in compatibility in intel?

I wanted to upgrade my laptop dell G3’s ram from 8 to 16. I can only afford 2400mhz tho, and the 8 gb kit is 2666. I looked on intels website for the specification of the processor ( i5 9300h) and realized it listed the memory types only as 2666 or 2133 lpddr3 Ram. Is it fine if I just use 2400 and am seeing any performance decrease due to the slower speed? Other than doubling my ram of coarse z

im also using 2400mhz for my i5 8400. didnt see any performance loss compared to youtube benchmarks that used 3200mhz.
so i guess yeah on intel it doesnt matter

You should be checking this with Dell, as it's really up to them.

Thanks I’m gonna end up paying Best Buy to do it. It’s like 40 bucks and it’s worth a shot
