i have upgraded to a 1tb hhd to 500gb ssd, just wanted to ask will it affect my overclocking cause my laptops default max speed is 2.5ghz and its overlocked to 3.6 so is it going to affect?

Can you explain? I don't know much about computers,i am using my brothers laptop.can you also tell me that should i clone my hhd to sdd with fresh copy of windows without updating everything like windows update and other stuff... or should i update everything on the fresh copy of windows and then clone it?
Which is better?

Moreover,i just fully refreshed my laptop and my laptop is still over-clocked,i think this means the laptop is over- clocked from bios not from windows!

I can't know how the OC was saved if you don't. And I don't know what you mean by "fully refreshed". But to the Win install question...
There really isn't a way to re-install Win (7?) to a new SSD and keep the pgms from your old install. Even if the old pgms are on another drive. Win needs to "set itself up" for pgms as they are installed. That is one of the purposes of the Registry. So, best to do a clean install of Win to the new SSD and start over with installing all your pgms. Save personal data to another media so you don't lose it. But pgms will have to be re-installed.

This is a good guide for installing Win7 to a SSD: http://www.overclock.net/t/1156654/seans-windows-7-install-optimization-guide-for-ssds-hdds

Now, if on the other hand you have your HDD pared down to where the space in use will fit the SSD, you can CLONE the HDD to the SSD. This tutorial explains how to do that: http://www.howtogeek.com/97242/how-to-migrate-windows-7-to-a-solid-state-drive/

first of all i don't have windows 7.i had windows 8.1 but when i "FULLY REFRESHED" which means when you go in windows 8.1 settings and go to reset your pc section which gives to options the.the first options is that you're going to use pc again and the second options is that you're going to recycle it.i chose the recycle option, after the completion of the process, the laptop was back on factory windows(windows 8 not 8.1) so i was asking that it is better to clone with the factory windows (windows 8) and after cloning update it to windows 8.1 or should i update it to windows 8.1 and then clone? which is better?

leave the overclocking bit.....i solved it

moreover,i would like to ask that....do i need to format my new ssd for clonning?
i meant should i just plug it in and use the migration software to clone or do i need to go to disk management and format the ssd and then clone. if yes then how and what settings like MBR etc if no then thats good

the ssd i bought is Samsung 850 evo and its 500gb,do i need to format the new ssd before cloning or just plug it in and use the Samsung migration software to clone
