Does res affect computer temperature?

Hey guys I was wanting to know if Resolutions on FPS games will affect the temperature of my computer, such as when I play CSGO I play 4:3 Stretched 1280 or 16:9 1920 and which would give me the lowest amount of heat on my computer, if it even makes a difference

It can but not directly. Turning up the resolution will cause the GPU to work harder and can increase gpu temps assuming gpu usage wasn't already at 100% before you turned up the resolution. 1280x720p would likely result in lower gpu temperatures but would also look like crap on a native 1920x1080p monitor.
