does resetting windows and keeping personal files delete steam saves? If so, how could I go about backing them up?

Lately my computer has been running very slow. I've etri d everything, registry cleaners, defragging, all that jazz, yet steam and oth r apps won't start. My last ditch effort to fix this was a system reset on win 10 that keeps my personal files. However, it said that I will lose my steam and games, I'm wondering, does this include saves, and if so, how would I go about backing them up so I don't lose progress?

Solution
not quite sure but all data should be stored in c:\windows.old

better backup the *username*\appdata folder and the local program steam folder with the installed games, if you wanna be absolutely sure. You can backup the games to a different drive via steam, so you won´t have to redownload the games
Steam save's count as personal files. You're okay to recover.
Unless you're factory resetting your PC, that cleans absolutely everything.
All you will lose is the games that are installed / the Steam app itself.

If you have a Flash drive, I recommend putting your save-games on it.
If not, you can put them in One Drive.

But you should be okay to do a System Restore.
