Does TDS require a DSL modem?

Hello, does TDS require a DSL modem to work? The reason I ask is that I have a DSL modem currently and it is just very, very, very slow. And the internet freezes when someone calls, so I was just wondering if I could use a COAX modem? Thank you for any responses.

Not sure TDS is, but if your internet freezes when someone calls you need a splitter, or at the very least some line filters on all other telco devices.

DSL modems and coax modems are not interchangeable.

Presumably you have DSL service? What did your ISP say when you called them about this issue?
