does temperature affect gaming performance

i am going to chooose an evga gtx 1060 6gb single fan. but i am afraid that a single fan wouldnt keep it cool. i am tight on budget. any dual fan version costs really high. does the temperature of the graphics card affects its performance? will i be getting same or atleast near fps as the dual fan version? will high temperatures dut to single fan spoil my graphics card?

Even with a single fan you won't see any thermal throttling of your GPU. The performance will stay relatively the same, it's just that the card will be a little hotter by doing so.

It's not too big of a deal, since if you're really worried about it you could set your own custom fan curve in MSI Afterburner to make the fan spin faster when the card gets hot. 1060 is a very efficient card for both power draw and in turn temperatures.

if your ambient temperature is not high then you should be fine. GPUs are performing well up to 95C which you should keep it around 70C for best lifespan.
