I've been looking around and only found news about the ryzen 5 2600, not sure if it will work.
I'm trying to upgrade from the A10-9700 from the Inspiron 5675 to the ryzen 5 3600.
with a prebuit PC if the unit did not ship with that as an option, it likely will not support it at all.
an i5 could be updated to an i7 if the i7 was an option in the first place.
Dell certainly doesn't make getting answers easy....
Probably going to have to do some digging through their site to see if there is a supported CPU list and/or a BIOS revision that would make that possible.
Check all your headers to be sure they are standard before trying to reuse that case. It is not uncommon for Dell to use wonky connectors for stuff like the power button and things. I have noted while perusing some of the YouTube builders that many of them do have adapter cables available.
