[SOLVED] Does the aftermarket M2 heat sink make any difference?

Hi,
I just built a new system with crucial M2 500 GB (CT500MX500SSD4) and I noticed that it is the hottest part of the build.
It hit the high 60s while running a game and idle at mid 40s. And while I was browsing Ali express for storage devices I came across many M2 heat sinks and some have a high rating with positive feedback. What caught my attention is a feedback hint that there was a 15degree celsius difference but I'm not sure if that feedback is legit or not.
Did anyone here try such a thing before? and if so, any recommendation?
Please note that my motherboard does not include an M2 heatsink (Gigabyte Z390 UD).

It would depend on the heatsink. A good heatsink & thermal pad for your m.2 ssd would make a difference, yes.

Just like all modern devices, they will indeed throttle if they overheat.
And just like all modern devices, the components will last longer IF they are cooler.

I would not worry.
A ssd will heat up on long sequential accesses. Think a antivirus scan.
It will throttle if it needs to.
The normal operation of a ssd is small random I/O.
If your case has adequate airflow to the motherboard, you are ok.
Test this by removing the case cover and see if that makes a difference.
